London 2012 Wrap-Up

Cheers, friends! The Olympics only ended on Sunday but we’re already going through withdrawal. Matt Grevers, Lashinda Demus, John Orozco, Lauren Cheney, and Steven Lopez made us so proud during the Games, and we’re thrilled to watch Allison Jones compete on August 30th in Paralympic Cycling.

Matt Grevers led Team Chobani and brought home 2 Olympic gold medals in the 4x100m Men’s Swimming Relay and 100m Backstroke. Meanwhile, Lauren Cheney and the US Women’s Soccer team plowed through their matches to win the gold medal in an intense final match versus Japan. Finally, Lashinda Demus inspired us all and brought home silver in Women’s 400m Hurdles. Steven Lopez and John Orozco both won the hearts of fans and media with their incredible stories, and made us so proud with their performances both on and offscreen. Now, we’re waiting anxiously to watch Allison go for the gold in just a few short weeks!

We knew from the get-go that London 2012 would be an incredible experience for Chobani. This was the first Olympics where social media had the opportunity to play such an important role, and we threw our hearts and souls into our Olympics coverage. What can we say? It’s easy to get hooked on the Games! As a first-time sponsor of the US Olympic team, we were over the moon excited to learn that AddThis crowned us the gold medal Brand Champ in their Social Media Olympics.
