Twin Falls, Ready for Production!

Today marks the official grand opening of our new manufacturing facility in Twin Falls, ID! This past week, a few of our NYC team members took a trip to our new community to meet the locals, check out the sights, and see how the plant is coming along. Needless to say, we were pretty psyched to venture out west – and we had a blast!

If you haven’t visited Twin (as the locals call it) yet, be sure to add it to your to-do list. You’ll meet some of the nicest people, get lost in the beauty of the Snake River Canyon and have nearly limitless options for outdoor activities. Base-jumping, anyone? (Yes, it’s legal there!)

It was such a pleasure to hear how excited the people of this great community are to have Chobani in their neighborhood. Some folks we met were not familiar with us when we first started moving in, but now have their favorite flavors picked out and eat our ‘gurt every morning for breakfast. We couldn’t help but blush when we were told how “Chobani is the talk of the town.” This is such a hard working community and we’re so proud of all the great work its residents are doing to keep our plant moving forward.

Speaking of hard work, the fact that our new 1 million square foot home was built in one year is pretty staggering. No really. Our jaws were on the floor for about 5 minutes. We owe a huge thank you to town officials and everyone involved for making this amazing facility a reality.

We were lucky enough to meet a few of these friends who showed us all around Twin. If it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t have had delicious sandwiches at Twin Falls Sandwich Company (so good we came back for seconds!), great coffee at The Coffee Shop, which has some of the most unique interior design we’ve ever seen and a tour of the newsroom at Neuhoff Media.

A place is only as good as its people and even though Twin Falls has no shortage of natural beauty, awesome food, outdoor activities and now CHO, it’s the warm and friendly people that make the place truly special. We’re so thrilled to call this place home and can’t wait to be as involved here as we are in our community of Central New York!
