Singin’ for Hope

Music is in the air!

We’re super psyched to announce our support of a truly NBG organization. Come summer, NYC will witness Sing for Hope Pianos, with the help of yours truly.

Driven by the vision of “Art for All,” The Sing for Hope Pianos project selects artists from across the city to customize their own unique piano, to be part of a crazy cool public art installation.  88 pianos, representing the 88 keys on a keyboard, will be placed throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City from June 1st-16th. Professional and amateur musicians (ahem, over here..) alike can take turns making music for everyone nearby to enjoy. After the installation closes, the pianos will make their way to under-served schools, hospitals and local organizations in need, enriching our local city communities through art for years to come.

“As two entrepreneurial organizations united by a mission to provide equal access to everyone – whether it’s music or genuine food products – Chobani is proud to support Sing for Hope,” said Hamdi, our president, CEO and founder. “Through funding this inventive program and as members of the New York community, we are honored to be a part in deepening the role New York City plays as a thoughtleader in music and the arts.”

Previous awesome artists whom have donated their time and talent to customize a Sing for Hope Piano include fashion designers Isaac Mizrahi and Diane Von Furstenberg! We seriously couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the fun.
