Power Bites to Fuel Your Day

We don’t want to believe it either, but summer is FLYING by. We’re hanging on to these remaining weeks, finding each and every opportunity to get outside and hit the beach. That said, there’s absolutely NO WAY we’re giving up on that beach bod! Unfortunately, it’s tricky to find time to hit the gym or take a class each week. We get it, it’s a hectic life you’re living!  If you’re lucky, your day might look a little something like this: Pack a gym bag at night. Bring a change of clothes to work. Change quickly in the bathroom. Run to that gym class and pray you’re not late or even worse, IN THE BACK!

Between all that running around, who has the time to eat a pre-workout snack!? YOU do. Enter Power Bites.

These little Power Bites are the perfect pick-me-up before a tough workout. Or, if you prefer the post-workout treat, grab a few of these to thank your bod for all its hard work.

The ladies behind Gimme Some Oven have the right idea with their No-Bake Energy Bites. We made a few tweaks to their already delicious recipe and encourage you to go ahead and add your own fix-ins!

Power Bites

Ingredients

1 1/2 C dry old-fashioned oats

2/3 C toasted coconut flakes

1/2 C peanut butter

1/8 C ground flaxseed

1/2 C dark chocolate chips

1/4 C honey or maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 C Vanilla 0% Chobani Greek Yogurt

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl.

2. Stick in the refrigerator and chill for about half an hour.

3. Once chilled, roll into balls of whatever size you’d like.

4. Store Power Bites in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week (but we doubt they’ll stay uneaten for that long!).
