Chobani Simply 100: Enjoy the Taste, Nutrition, and Culinary Inspiration

Mix it up, dip it in, blend it together, or freeze it – I’ve always been a fan of yogurt for the taste, nutrition, and versatility in recipes. But what I’m not a fan of are the many yogurts on the market that are loaded with added sugars or artificial ingredients. Whether you’re looking for healthy snacking swaps or ways to boost mealtime nutrition, adding Chobani® Greek Yogurt is the perfect way to ensure great flavor without sacrificing nutrition for the whole family.

While my “go to” yogurt is usually plain Chobani® Greek Yogurt (I actually like the tart taste and enjoy adding mix-ins for a sweet or savory kick), I was impressed with the new lineup of the Chobani Simply 100® products. Many of my clients want a yogurt that’s flavored with real fruit and made with only natural, non-GMO ingredients that’s also calorie controlled – and this is the only 100-calorie Greek yogurt that contains zero preservatives and no artificial sweeteners.

The other big bonus is that this is the only nationally distributed 100-calorie Greek Yogurt that’s high in both protein (12 grams) and fiber (5 grams), two nutrients which may help keep you feeling fuller, longer. But the main reason my clients like this Greek Yogurt, and why I had so much fun developing the following recipes, is that in addition to packing in positive nutrition, it also delivers on taste. Blueberry, Peach, and Black Cherry are just a few varieties that will make it enjoyably easier for you to stick to your healthy eating goals.

For Breakfast

Raspberry-Lemon Pistachio Crumble Yogurt Bowl

4 Servings

1/2 cup shelled pistachios

2 tablespoons shredded coconut

2 tablespoons golden raisins

1/4 teaspoon lemon zest

1/8 teaspoon sea salt

4, 5.3 ounce containers Chobani Simply 100® Raspberry Lemon Greek Yogurt

1 cup fresh raspberries

In the bowl of a small food processor, add the pistachios, shredded coconut, golden raisins, lemon zest, and sea salt and pulse until the pistachios are chopped and the raisins are well combined into the mixture. If you don’t have a food processor, finely chop the ingredients on a cutting board. Place each individual container of Greek Yogurt into a separate bowl, top each with ¼ cup of fresh raspberries and ¼ of the pistachio crumble. Enjoy immediately.

With Lunch

Poppy Seed Fruit and Yogurt Salad

6 Servings

2, 5.3 ounce container Chobani Simply 100® Pineapple Coconut Greek Yogurt

1 tablespoon poppy seeds

1 tablespoon orange juice

Zest of 1 lemon

1 cup fresh strawberries, quartered

1 banana, sliced

1 orange, peeled and segmented

1 green apple, chopped into 1/2-inch pieces

1/4 cup whole raw cashews

1/4 cup shredded coconut

In a large serving bowl, add the Greek Yogurt, poppy seeds, orange juice, and lemon zest and stir to combine. Toss in the fruit and mix until the yogurt sauce evenly coats the fruit. When ready to serve, add the cashews, shredded coconut, and mix to incorporate. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for a few hours.

For Dessert

Almond Butter Banana-Blueberry Frozen Yogurt

6 Servings

4 frozen ripe bananas, sliced into 1-inch pieces

2, 5.3 ounce containers Chobani Simply 100® Blueberry Greek Yogurt

1/3 cup almond butter

1/4 cup sliced almonds

1 cup fresh blueberries

In the bowl of a food processor, combine frozen banana slices, Greek Yogurt, and almond butter and process until smooth, about 3 minutes. Yogurt base should be thick and creamy. Enjoy immediately or transfer the mixture to an airtight container and place in the freezer. The yogurt mixture will keep for up to 1 week in the freezer; let thaw about 20 minutes before serving. To serve, scoop the frozen yogurt into bowls and top with sliced almonds and blueberries.
