A twist on the traditional latte, with orange and sweet honey on the finish. Recipe by Anthony Ragler.
In a pot, combine water, brown sugar, and honey; bring to a boil.
Add in orange juice and stir thoroughly.
Allow syrup to cool for 10 minutes, then decant into a pourable container (yields enough syrup for 10-12 servings).
Pour Citrus Honeybee Syrup into a mug.
Place orange peel in a shot glass and extract espresso over peel (18-20 g of coffee into portafilter, 40 g liquid espresso output).
Muddle espresso with orange peel; pour espresso into the mug with Citrus Honeybee Syrup.
Steam oatmilk and pour into the mug over espresso.
Fill a glass with ice and pour oatmilk over top.
Place orange peel in a shot glass and extract espresso over peel (18-20 g of coffee into portafilter, 40 g liquid espresso output).
Muddle espresso with orange peel; pour espresso into a container with Citrus Honeybee Syrup and stir.
Pour espresso and syrup mixture into the glass over the ice and oatmilk.
Fold beverage with a spoon to incorporate espresso and syrup.
