A creamy hot and spicy fall beverage. Capturing the quintessential flavors of fall apples and cinnamon. Recipe by Emilee Bryant.
Bring water to a boil in a kettle.
Using a teapot or tea strainer, steep the black tea and 1 star anise for 3-4 minutes.
Using a torch, carefully burn the sticks of cinnamon and place one each underneath two 8oz serving glasses. Let rest while the tea brews.
Strain tea evenly into each glass. Each glass should be half full.
Discard tea and used anise.
Combine apple cider and oatmilk in a steaming pitcher (stovetop if you cannot steam the milk).
Steam milk and cider mix until 145ºF.
Add ground cinnamon and paprika to each glass and stir.
Pour oatmilk/cider mixture evenly into each glass and garnish with star anise.
