A soul-soothing hot chocolate made with oatmilk. Recipe by Piyapat "Flook" Lapteerawut.
In a medium pot over medium heat, add the oatmilk and the chocolate chips.
Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture has thickened.
Remove from heat and pour into a mug to keep warm.
Using the basic Italian-style meringue making technique by using evaporation to heat the bottom of the pot, add sugar and egg white into a pot.
Whisk thoroughly until a bubble forms. Immediately remove from heat.
In a stand mixer on medium speed, mix the meringue until fluffy.
Pour white chocolate sauce around the edge of the cup (optional).
Add 1 piece of French truffle chocolate and pour Homemade Oat Milk Hot Chocolate on top (must be hot enough to melt the truffle).
Top it off with white chocolate meringue and an optional sprinkle of cocoa powder.
Feel free to decorate your drink, adding some marshmallows, candy, or cookies.
